Philip Wagner

Philip Wagner is a leadership educator, trainer, executive coach and project/program manager, with extensive leadership and project management expertise in both civilian and military environments. He has advised in a wide range of industries from banking and finance, education and training, technology and Defence.

Phil has worked with NAB as a Senior Manager within the large diverse Technology Projects division. While there, he built one of the most consistently high performing technology development teams at NAB.

After leaving NAB, Phil was recruited as Portfolio Manager for EDS Australia at a challenging time. His task was to deliver a new payments solution while developing and leading a large new technology team. He faced the twin challenges of rebuilding trust with key clients and at the same time developing the technical capability of the team.  

Phil now runs his own training and consulting business, developing and delivering certified courses for Senior Management and Project Management and non-certified courses for numerous training providers to participants from Victoria Police, ANZ, NAB, State Government of Victoria, Royal Eye & Ear Hospital, Telstra and ISS Group. In addition, he has had key client relationships with Commonwealth agencies including Department of Defence, Bureau of Meteorology and IP Australia

Phil has built and delivered leadership programs for senior leaders and has coached and mentored people into leadership positions from front line staff, middle and senior managers through to executives. He brings his vast experience in leadership development, coaching and mentoring to these programs. He is the creator of Leader IQ and Project IQ, focusing on developing leadership and project intelligence. Phil holds an Advanced Diploma in Business Management, Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Diploma in Project Management, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE), and Certificate IV in Government Investigations.

Phil is a part time Army Officer who has served as an instructor attached to Royal Military College Australia, delivering leadership training and mentoring to future officers and leaders for service in the Australian Defence Force.
